Yes, that's what setting to Default does. Well, it shouldn't "squish" but it will reset the columns to show only RIN, Full Name, Sex, Birth, Birth Place, Death and Death Place. Those are the "default" columns.

I added one back in and tried clicking the Default button. Everything changed back to the "squished" format and the "Age" column disappeared again. It may have had something to do with when and how I saved the configuration. It's Ok now and comes up correctly at start-up. I hope this helps your analysis.
