That happened to me on both 7.4 updates. Fortunately, I had saved my setup so all I had to do was load it back up ...

I added one back in and tried clicking the Default button. Everything changed back to the "squished" format and the "Age" column disappeared again. It may have had something to do with when and how I saved the configuration. It's Ok now and comes up correctly at start-up. I hope this helps your analysis.
