As this forum is used by many in helping resolve issues, we have decided to post a summary of where this matter stands in the hope it will aid others in the future. The overwhelming consensus is that it is not possible to generate a report from within legacy that replicates the name list as seen. A large number of kindly folk are a bit gun shy of being accused of being 'off topic' hence we received a great deal of very helpful advice off list and in particular a gentleman who wrote especially a multi-formula trial in excel to satisfy the requirement. The solution to the stated problem requires third party software manuipulation of data from any of the formats legacy can export save or print. An interesting debate still rests whether Excel or Access (being we are told is legacies native design) is the best raw data manipulator, but I guess that is 'off topic' also. To the many on and off list, wonderful folk; great ideas that I promise we are trying every one, giving us a real choice of solutions. thanks Peter Simpson
