Kathy: Thank you very much. I did not know that Legacy does not diffentiate between marriages, partnerships, etc, and considers all as unions (whatever one wishes to call them. That answers my question and resolves my prblem. Now I know what to expect, instead of thinking that I was overlooking something. Thanks again.

Legacy considers them as unions...be it for a one night stand or for fifty years and will order them according to the dates you enter. On spec that you have dates for all the bone fide marriages, I suspect that you have two choices...you can either enter an estimated date for the undated union and then resort using Spouse list sort. The other option would be for you to manually place the union/partnership /marriage in the order you think it happened using the arrows to the right of the word ORDER on the spouse list screen.
