Jenny - I, too, have been making a screen shot. The problem I have with this is that if the text extends beyond what you see in the box on the screen the screen shot does not capture it. This happens often in the detail screen in the "citing" block. If a few are done at the same time I just copy and paste; however, going back at a later date to add a source I cannot recall specifically how the info was entered. I can print out a source citation report which will provide the entire string. Do you have another work-around for this?

I quite agree that it is a bit of a pain having to work right through a citation before one can see if it's really what one wanted. What I would like to be able to do is to download a "manual" which would comprise a "worked example" of every SourceWriter template. One could then flip through the manual looking for one which gave the output one was after. I found that frequently I can't remember just how I fill in the Detail for a Source I haven't used for a while so for lack of such a manual I am creating my own by printing a screen shot of the completed Source Detail screen for each template I use. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
