Yes, which is why I mentioned it in my post; thanks for going into more detail as to how to access that feature. However, I think we'll have to agree to disagree as to whether it solves the problem. For some people it might. For me, it is very clunky and not always useful. I just took 3 pages at random in EE: only one resulted in being able to craft the citation as specified on that page in the book. In the second case, while the page in EE provides three choices as to what should be the lead element, Legacy's template provides only one. And in the third example, there is no Legacy template for the example on the page I selected: Legacy tells me "No keywords found." So, while I will continue to use this feature on occasion, I don't see it as resolving the issue of not being able to see the fields on the detail screen and know how the citation will turn out until you've created and saved a new master source.
