What I would suggest to use for her is actually the relationship calculator.  
Here you select the two people to include - one your daughter and the other the 
Mayflower ancestor.  This will give you the direct line I think you are looking 
for in just a few pages.

  My nine-year old niece is interested in learning about our Mayflower ancestry 
and I would like to print a pedigree chart that only has the direct descendants 
from her to the ancestor that was the passenger on the Mayflower and exclude 
everyone else we have in our tree.  Is there a way to do that other than 
deleting everyone else and creating a new file?  Can I use tags somehow?  She 
gets overloaded if there are too many names and walks off so I want to limit it 
right now to what she is interested in.
