Ron (and others), Rather than catching fish for those who ask a question on how to use the Search facility, why not teach them how to fish. Or, encourage them to dangle a line and see what happens - experimentation can be very instructive. Using the F1 key should be mandatory before anyone even thinks of posing a question here. Point them towards the very detailed Help page on searching. Tip: use the built-in Search facility within Help to find something. Too many topics returned from a multi-word search term? Put quotes round the words. I've always found that if you don't know what you're looking for in the Help, it becomes very unwieldy to find your way around in. A radical redesign of the Help is needed, along with better integration into the program. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
