I don't use it either - it's far too big! The last time I looked at it, some years ago so my memory may be wrong, I think it held copies of all the multimedia and the paths. I much prefer to save my multimedia files on a disk, or elsewhere and not on PC, so I copy the files directly to wheresoever I store it.
