If you go to www.rootsweb.com, you will find a large list of genealogy lists.
You just have to look through the lists to find one or two that interests you.

The only problem with those message boards and mailing lists is the same as
this one-
Each seems to be topic limited and there is no board/list that I have found
that allows a free ranging discussion of genealogy in general.

Is anyone aware of such a board/list anywhere?

It is all well and good to say take it somewhere else but could you at least
name one or two boards where such discussions would be welcomed?

Hi Belinda,

This mailing list is strictly for discussing Legacy and it's add-on
programs. Please take the time to check out the "Legacy Group
Guidelines" linked at the end of every post for the rules of this list. :-)

If you want to talk about other topics, there are thousands of mailing
lists and message boards "out there" and one of them is bound to cover
any topic you can think of.

If you haven't yet discovered them, Rootsweb/Ancestry has a huge
assortment of lists and boards for locations, names, and other topics.
Start at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/ and check out the "Lists" and
"Boards" tabs at the top of the page. They're all free to use. The
boards on Ancestry are the same boards as you'll find on Rootsweb, only
with a different banner.

Hope this helps. :-)

Kind Regards,
Wendy Howard
