I iknow how to show an adopted child when both sets of parents are known; not a problem. However, can I - and how - show ONLY a biological mother and totally seperately an adopting father?
Specifically: James (father) b 1775 had two wives and several children by 1829. Elizabeth (mother) b 1807 had son Adam b 1829 out of wedlock. James adopted Adam; there is no known relationship between James and Elizabeth. How do I avoid having Elizabeth appear as a third wife of James? or of James having three wives?
