This got me to thinking (something I don't do too often.) :-) Why is there a password?
And before you post, remember the password has nothing to do with unlocking the features of the Deluxe version. The program is offered as essentially "freeware", yet a password is needed to install. The password is so secret that it is freely posted on Legacy's web pages. Just doesn't make sense. I suspect the answer is that way back to version 1 or 2, the program was not "freeware". Since its evolution to include a free version as well as a paid, registered version, nobody has bothered to change the installer code. But even that doesn't make sense because the password has changed a few times. Maybe some of that oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is starting to wash up on the beaches in Surprise, Arizona.
