Most of the time when I cut a GED from my .fdb I get an "Audience" of 100's not linked in any way with the Focus Selection & only visible in the Index to start with. The selection that does this is "Descendants & All Spouses". (Not the "Descendants & Ancestors etc.of those Descendants"). If I then re-do the *same* Focus selection from that subsequent GED > .fdb it cuts as intended & is "pure". The most recent had about 400 (Audience) unlinked in any way to the 17 (Actors) selected. There are 5,000 in that fdb. The question is why does it behave this way? Does not happen when using Tagging for Focus Group. John P
