There are two problems with HTML. One is that some users of Legacy may be running in old and slow, but viable computers and HTML has a lot of hidden characters which makes the file bigger. and two, HTML can carry viruses and bugs which may have been removed in the senders computer, but damages the next one it finds that has less than the protection neccessary. I have recieved on e-mails containing these and my anti-virus program has pointed them out as it destroyed them. So a trusted sender may inadvertently be sending a virus his computer found and ignored and later removed, but fixed after sending a message. I did that once to family members in the 1990s. My 'protector' isolated the bug, then sent a message to me about it, but did not interrupt my scrolling, reading and answering the e-mails, and got it as the last message, too late. I immediately got a better tool. Most anti-virus programs are more powerful that the old ones, but the bug creators are trying their hardest to cause mayhem wherever. Rich in LA CA
