The OP wondered why there WAS room on one line one day and not room the next.

"Yesterday this person had all Date & Place on one line."

Is Printed

I have checked this out using the Individual report for a deceased person and
you are correct, what happens is that if the location is longer than what can
be placed on one line then the date is placed on the first line followed by the
location on the second line.

I have also noticed that when the location is quite long and you are printing a
report on 8.5 by 11 paper and using the Portrait setting in the printer options
then part of the location will be cut off, instead of getting Prince Edward
Island, Canada, you will get Prince~, the rest is placed in "La La Land", never
to found again.

I have checked to see if there is a place in the report options, or in the main
options, to see if there is a function that I could clck that would allow me to
include word wrap, but none was available.

I will also point out that you can change the printer setup from Portrait to
Landscape which may print the full location, I would assume that this would
also depend on the length of the location.
