My system is very similar to Dede's. Filing by MRIN means I have to look up the number first so I file by Surname and name the files very specifically. I like to see things at a glance and not keep clicking back and forth to different folders. I have a rotten short term memory so it's not good for me to open one folder, remember what was there and then click to another.
I think somebody is going to complain pretty soon about this thread because it's not "on topic"; both Legacy groups are like that, but I am enjoying learning how everyone does this.
