David - Just one comment - there are still servers out there that do not accept capital letters and using such on those servers will result in an error message. I currently work with one website on one such server and have run into it in the past. If your server accepts them, well and good, but it is something you might want to test first before getting to far into a project.
But your basic premise is the one to remember. As long as you are consistent with naming conventions, things become fairly easy.
