Thanks Ron. I figured I needed to input the two fields manually, as that's what the program appeared to require and that's what the Help file said. But, I wanted to see whether others had a different experience.
It's not a problem. I just want to take opportunities where they exist to import 'similar' data from other systems, not so much to save data entry (which is no big deal in this case), but to keep data consistent between those systems. Since most of my images are, by far, censuses, BMDs etc. I would not expect Legacy to even try and find data for Caption and Date.
