Wendy, A word of caution when using this method. With Genes ReUnited it works reasonably well, but with a Legacy Pedigree tree it can cause problems, because if a person is not included then a descendant who one may wish to include eg. a deceased child of a living person will not be shown in the correct part of the tree but as an island tree. This may not be what is required eg. a serviceman killed in action. If "Private" or "Living" is used then they will.
