Stuart, I am assuming that "PM.zip" etc. is the name of your Legacy back-up file - is that the case?
Windows7 recommends using drag and drop to move files, if you have used the Legacy default then you need to copy or move the two files from the Flash Drive to the C:\Legacy\Data folder. Double clicking the PM.zip file will open it in Legacy, but it will ask you to Save it - use the same name and Legacy will save it as PM.fdb. You will have to decide where you wish to store your multimedia media files, C:\ Legacy\Pictures is as good as anywhere, at least at first, so un-zip the file and save in the location. Then use Legacy to find them. I suggest that you read the Windows7 Help files to learn how to use the program and/or buy a basic instruction book, as you will constantly have problems until you learn how Win7 stores and manipulates files, it is not the same as XP. That is what I did, and I've been using computers for years. I originally thought that my files were one large file with my surname and all entries were listed under my name. Apparently that is incorrect. I then transferred each surname file to flash drive. The machine that I want to transfer to is Win 7 and does not see the files. When I open the drive I do not see the files listed. On the left side of the screen under computer etc. I see the files listed as PM.zip and PM-mult--.zip. I am not sure of what process to use to transfer files to the Win 7 machine at this point. The process has nothing to do with Legacy; copying a file to a flash drive is a Windows operation. I tried to export files to a flash drive from Ver. 7.0.0.xx. Legacy would not allow it. I was able to export a file to a flash drive in the most current version. I was hoping to try the IntelliShare method mentioned by Jim. I have an older version of Legacy on another computer and I have not yet tried to export and then merge files. Has anyone had this problem and found a fix? I now understand my wife's distaste for computers, wonderful when they work the way we want them...
