Honestly, it's all so annoying! I really wish all email programs would default to plain text for composing and let us decide whether or not we *really* need to include pictures or formatting in our messages!
Gmail is supposed to format according to the previous message but that can be changed when replying.. I hope it's now backto the default of plain text when I compose a new message to the group!
