Jerry, I'm still confused. Do you want to change to an entirely different template, or do you want to change what you entered in a specific template?
If the former, as has been discussed, it is not possible to make a global change. You will need to choose the new template, set up the new source, add it to each person/event, then delete the old citation. If the latter, which template are you having problems with? In general, all you would need to do is pull up a person/event, edit the master source, then, when saving, choose "apply changes to ALL references of this master source," assuming of course that is what you want to do.
