Tom,

I'm not using it for a formal One Name Study, but yes, I use Legacy to enter
multiple unrelated lines of the same surname. I put them all in the same
database; I do NOT create a separate database for each line. There are no
problems at all. In fact, it is quite helpful to be able to search on a name
and see immediately which line the person belongs to. If I put them in a
separate database, I'd have to remember and/or search each separate database
which to me would be a pain.

Is there anyone using Legacy 7.x for Surname Research Compilations?

This would involve multiple unrelated lines with the same surname.

Suggestions? Just give up?

Thanks all - appreciate the advice.
