PS. I use upper case for all surnames and do not have this error

So it may have been dates rather than Surnames in upper case
"In date fields, double prefixes such as "Born before 1853" or "Died
after 1903" can also cause run-time error 3260.

The solution for the date problem is change them to single prefix
dates such as “Before 1853” or “After 1903” from a Search List. Click
on Search on the menu bar and select Find. Next click the
Miscellaneous tab, then select 'All records with bad dates' and click
Create List. Fix the bad dates. "
