Charles:

If you are near a large university library, check the library catalog
for the Victoria History of the Counties of England.  This will tell
you the civil and ecclesiastical locations for most parishes and towns
in different time periods.  Some volumes are online in Google, or the
Internet Archive, or BYU, or at English History.
