Hi Jane, > 3. I saw on the list that one may post their new web page somewhere > other than online at Ancestry.com or Rootsweb. Is it within the > Legacy universe? If so, where?
Legacy doesn't provide web space for users of the program. You can upload your pages anywhere you have space. It might be your ISP, or it might be some other place where you pay for the space, or it might be somewhere that offers space for free. It's up to you to choose the one you want. I use Rootsweb's freepages space, and find it very easy to use - see the link in my signature to my pages. http://accounts.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index.cgi?op=show&page=freagree.htm I choose not to upload Legacy-generated pages there, but I could if I wanted. As the name implies, it's free. There's good peer-to-peer support with a mailing list dedicated to the Freepages. http://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/index/other/RootsWeb_Support/Freepages-Help.html Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy Howard -- Kaiwaka, Northland, New Zealand http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~wendyh65/ <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/%7Ewendyh65/> Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
