Liz, I tested your statement that SourceWriter (SW) style sources could be created in earlier versions of Legacy and found that, because of a bug, you could be offered the option and would be allowed to create SW sources in 7.4 despite having only the Standard Version. That bug is now fixed in 7.5 so you are no longer able to create a SW source if you are using the Standard Version.
You can convert all your sources to the Basic Style Sources by exporting your file to a GEDCOM then re-importing the data.
