Yes, the one challenge I have with Dropbox is avoiding conflicting files. You must be careful to ensure that the file on computer #1 is both closed AND synchronized before opening it on computer #2. As you as you do that, Dropbox works exceptionally well.
Dropbox is not the only file storage/sycnhronization service out there. Others include SugarSync, iDrive, and Mozy.
