Is there any workaround for SourceWriter created sources being converted to Basic Sources when exporting to a GEDCOM?
I love many of the features of Legacy 7.5, especially the ability to use SourceWriter templates for new source citations. I also have 570 or so old FTM created sources that I have experimented with converting to SourceWriter templates using both Ltools and manual methods. The conversion would likely take me many months to complete. At that point it appears I would be able to produce wonderfully detailed and footnoted reports with citations matched to the "Evidence Explained" format nearly perfectly. After converting to Legacy from FTM and cleaning up my data, I would also like to be able to upload my tree data including those properly formatted source citations to Ancestry and other on-line sites. As far as I know that requires exporting to GEDCOM and causes incorrect reformatting of the citations. I tried test exports using Legacy, Ancestry, and 5.5 versions of GEDCOM, and the all seem to garble the citation formatting. Is there a workaround? Is there a fix forthcoming from Legacy?
