Linda, I believe it would but I will let others answer for sure. I recently bought FTM 2011 just to know what others I was working with were looking at. I also got the free version of RootsMagic and I don't like either of them. TMG doesn't appeal to me either from their tutorials. I have used Legacy for numbers of years and influenced several others to switch. Since I am manage the family project and working with numbers of other people, those who have switched are so thrilled that they don't want to switch back to anything else. When you see how uncluttered the screen is, how many things you can do with it and customize, you won't want to switch back either. I'm sorry you are frustrated, but you are at the right place for a great genealogical experience. Every time Legacy has an upgrade, I look into everything that's out there. I always come back to Legacy as the best choice even though I have an open mind if something else were better. New versions always get me even more sold on Legacy. Tinker around with the free version. The deluxe version is even more amazing!

I have used 3 different versions of Family Tree Maker for over 13 years, the latest being about 6 years old. I bought a laptop with Windows 7 and noticed that my latest version could not be used so I bought Family Tree Maker 2010 and really hate it. It took some time getting used to do some things I used to easily but the main problems are: 1.the inability to share my "reports" (I used to at least be able to create in the program and copy and paste), 2. the inability to find an individual in the file searching through all text fields (I have a lot of information in the "events" (facts) fields but they are not searchable at once nor is the "notes" searchable at all) 3. the inability to have "events" (facts) contents included in my reports, 4. and the data in my gedcom files now created and posted on my Rootsweb page is there but is jumbled up (it looks okay in the program but not on the internet). I have over 13,000 individuals in my file and over 750 pictures. I wish I could go back but I have made many additions since I upgraded last summer. I am thinking of trying Legacy Deluxe 7 because at least I could create pdf files- that would take care of problem 1. I know any import will have to be in gedcom format and my pictures will not be linked to anything. Can anyone tell me if Legacy Deluxe 7 would solve problems 2 and 3?
