Not too sure where the problem really lies, but yes, Legacy's gedcom exports "Given" name from 'main name area' and 'alternate name area', both as 'Givn'. So then GEDxlate uses the 'given name' from the 'alternate name' as the 'given name'. Then to make things even more confusing as Ron said, a name in quotes in the main given name area will appear in GEDxlate 'Nick' name column. I give up, it's all way beyond me ;-)
