Thanks for the suggestion.  I did as you suggested but still have the phantom 
file in the list.  It may be because the file name was already buried somewhere 
in Legacy's tables or files and when I created one by the same name it now 
appears twice in Legacy.  Then, when I deleted it as Mike suggested, it only 
deleted one of them.

I have searched all the .usr files and found no mention of the file names in 
question.  I have looked through the tables using Ltools and found nothing.  
They are obviously stored in Legacy somewhere.  I can't find them.

Probably because you deleted them from outside Legacy and Legacy doesn't know 
you've deleted them.  (I'm assuming that Legacy compiles the list by adding a 
new filename each time, not by looking for all the filenames each time you 
access it.)

I just deleted a file from within that window and it no longer appeared in the 
list.

Try saving another Search with the same filename.  Then delete it *from within 
Legacy* using Mike's method.
