Dave,

The change was made in the current version (or maybe the one before), but it
only affects the Event fields specified at the top, and not the Notes, The
point of this was that at some time in history the double chevron coding
used to be displayed in those fields but was dropped. It has now been
restored. Which ever way these specified fields work it makes no difference
to the final output (ie reports etc.) but does allows web developers to see
what they have done. Although it is not a facility which I use, meaning I do
not format these fields, I can see the value of it being displayed for those
who do.

What version of Legacy. According to Brian there seems to have been a
change in the latest version.
