Hi Barb, If you've unlinked your family from your husband's, go to View > Tree Finder, then Refresh. Identify the tree containing the people you no longer want to keep in that file, select an unused Tag, then Tag the Entire Tree of the Highlighted Individual.
Once that's done, you can go to Tools > Advanced Deleting, select the Tag you've used above, then "Delete all Individuals tagged". You should make sure you have a backup before starting this exercise, so you can recover easily if you inadvertently delete the wrong person/people. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy -----Original Message----- *Subject:* Re: [LegacyUG] Need to remove my ancestral line from family file *Sent:* Sun, 17 Apr 2011 18:45:11 -0600 *From:* Barbara Lewis <[email protected]> *To:* [email protected] > Russ...I appreciate your help very much....I would have done the "drop and > drag" but I have some unconnected people with my husband's lines in a > one'name study that I did...a number of unconnected trees...so that's why I > was just trying to get rid of my family on his file.
