Julia, You are beginning to enter the realms of Lumpers and Splitters. I suggest that you look in the Archives (URL at end of every email) and search for these phrases (one at a time!). In general a lumper will have the minimum detail in the Master Source with the maximum in the Detail, in order that the Master may be used in a multiple of circumstances whereas for a splitter the reverse is the case. The choice is a matter of personal preference.
As always, in my view, the important thing is to ensure that the source as published is complete and accurate, and the format used is of very minor importance.
