<<Yes! Ignore any notion of a four-part location. It's an American thing and really only works for them.>>
Legacy does some neat things with locations, when it knows where the country is located in the string. Anyone in any country can make use of those sorting capabilities if they use a consistent method to put there locations so that slot 4 is country and decreasing areas go in decreasing slots. Unfortunately, other countries, and the US over time, do not easily conform to those requirements. That leaves lots of room for whatever style you wish to use. You can put as much detail as any address has, in any order you wish to use. I am satisfied with the sorting ability, and have used it. I also put in locations that I know will not be needed to sort in any way that is convenient for me. And I thank the programmers for considering the additional capabilities they have put in the location. It is that innovation that makes Legacy such a great program. It is just too bad that coming up with the same system for the rest of the world is not that easy.
