In one of my lines recently (Willis), I've been working with several sources that each provide sort of an introduction to the family. Something along the lines of:
Before 1600, the family was from Warwickshire, England. The castle at Fenny Compton is of particular interest due to the wealth of church records and grave markers that can be found there. Also, the family can be found in the Visitations of Warwick 1619... I'd like to be able to capture these hints/tips/pointers somehow in my database in a way so they do not get lost or forgotten, and when I generate reports or otherwise share my findings they are shared as well. Do you have any tricks for how to something like this? I've considered a stubby individual to attach it to, and just keep making stubby be the oldest ancestor of my line, but wanted to know if there might be other ways to do this. As an aside, the Visitation book(s) can be found electronically via Google, but I can't read/decode them. If anyone could kindly point me to any how-tos or other guides for how to use these books it would be most appreciated.
