Ah, the international standards comment threw me - ISO, duh!  Yes, I
meant "In search of"  :D

I do use this idea already, the difference this time being that I
don't have data that really belongs to any individual in my database,
just sort of a family line introduction.  I guess a stubby individual
or moving the event around as my line grows are my choices.

I've posted before about my GED Utils macros for cleaning up Legacy
GEDCOM exports, one of them to attach my notes to events correctly.
It works well most of the time.  However, long notes can be truncated
by the other programs.
