Hello Sherry and Tim I have been using Legacy v5 on the new laptop with Windows 7 for the past 6 weeks without any problems until Friday.
Last night I resolved the issue. I went www.LegacyFamilyTree.com > Help Center > Technical Support > Solutions by Error Number. As I was unable to open primary.fdb, I did the following 3. Run File Maintenance - Check/Repair. Click on File > File Maintenance > Check/Repair and follow the prompts. I did this by clicking on the unopened file. All is now working perfectly. I did a backup file a week ago, however this week I have been on holidays and had entered much research, and hated the thought of doing that research again. Thanks for your advice.
