Will the IGI completely go away when Family Search is online? (online for us non LDS people).
I still use the IGI to give me clues. Here is a sample output.. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints [LDS], "International Genealogical Index," database, FamilySearch (http://www.familysearch.org : accessed 13 Jun 2011), North American Region, entry for Richard Bryant Carroll, born 10 Apr 1839, Alabama, USA; citing FHL microfilm 458,952 (Sealings for the dead, couples and children (includes some living spouses and children), 1945-1970; heir index, 1945-1957). I have A LOT of these entries. I am not sure what to do with them. Will I need to update the source when it is no longer the IGI? michele Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
