The keyboard shortcut <Alt><1> will open the Source Clipboard - where you can see what is currently loaded, ready for use - and <Esc> will close it again without any changes (in case you accidentally hit a key while it was open). I use this, along with <Alt><2> to apply the Source Clipboard to the current field, all the time.
