I may be a little late in this thread and possibly missed something but I'll add this anyway.
Since watching Geoff's 'adding a death certificate' webinar, I have started following his example and when I start to add my sources, I click on that 'up' arrow mentioned which brings up the current clipboard source. If it's not the one you were expecting, then you need to clear it and use another. You can either insert all the information from scratch or in the case of wanting to use an existing source and description that has already been used elsewhere, I would go to that source and click on the button to 'add source to clipboard'. Like if that source you want was used for a birth event, you highlight that event source and add that one to the clipboard. I'm not going step by step because it sounds like everyone is familiar with the buttons and functions. The original question (I think) was about clicking on the "-"dash sign to add the clipboard source and then later finding out that it wasn't the source that was intended. And of course the obvious answer has already been given about checking the box so that the details pop up every time you use it so you can verify and add details.
