I don’t see that happening in my file. Perhaps some file maintenance will help.

(notes, sources, photo album, parents, siblings, spouses etc). On the marriage part the note section is always in color. If you click it on it says, Reference: If you use the notes section for the marriage you have to deleted Reference: to type what you want.
