Yes, all of mine are checked except two as well – including the “reminder to
a make backup when exiting”.

I restarted my computer and then prompted me for a backup -- once. I
thought it had repaired itself, so I entered an obituary and exited with no
prompt that time. I'm fumbuzzled.

Click on the box that says 'turn on or off optional reminder messages', then
make sure you check the box third from the top 'reminder to make a backup
when exiting Legacy'. And I'd take the time to go through all of the
reminders and see what else you might want. Virtually all of mine are
checked, all but 2. Kathy

I am using version 7.5.0.89 and just transferred my Legacy and data to my
new computer. Now when I exit, it does not prompt me to backup my data like
it did on my old computer. I checked the Help files and found what I
thought would be the solution. It says:

If not already done, we recommend that you set your Legacy options to
automatically prompt for backups each time you exit the program. Here's
how:
1. Click Options on the menu bar and select Customize from the options
menu.
2. At the Customize screen, click on the Other tab.
3. Next, check mark the box to Automatically Prompt for Backup and then
click the Save button.
Now, each time you quit the Legacy program, you will see a message asking if
you want to backup the family file(s) you had open. Just click the Backup
button and the process will start. Here are the steps: [following in
information about where to backup and how to test the backup]

My problem is that my Other tab has no option to Automatically Prompt for
Backup. I have:

Message boxes
Report Credit
Warning
Custom User ID Numbers
Geo Location Database
Button Bar Location
Button Bar Size
Toolbar Picture Sizes
Printer Private Individuals, Events, Notes

Nothing about Automatically Prompting or Backup. Can someone tell me what I
am doing incorrectly? Has this option been changed to a different location?

Thank you.
Lana

PS
I did remember to change this to Plain Text. Hopefully it comes through as
such. My apologies if it does not.
