First check that the two files in question are still on your PC. I take it
that you can remember their names (the extensions are.fdb). Use Windows
search to find out where they are - if you used the Legacy defaults they
should be in C:\Legacy\Data\. Having found them when you you go to File>Open
Family File ensure that the folder name in the drop-down box at the top of
the main box has the correct folder containing the two files.

You are correct in saying that adding a 2nd monitor should not make any
difference, and if you cannot find the files check your trash can.

Somehow I Have lost 2 family files and  and I am stuck on Asa Brown.
What did I do and how do I get back my files??? I did have a 2nd
monitor installled today but that shouldnt be the problem.
