Sorry, if I mis-led you or used the wrong term. It is really the UNSPECIFIED field where you can list a source as applying to the entire record as a whole and not to a specific part of the record. It is useful for those of us who first want to put the primary source down when a new person is added, then later add sources to the specific fields like name, birth, etc., as other sources become available or if there are differences. --Jerry / http://www.MerriamFamilyTree.org
