Joan,

It’s a tab on the main screen. Basically it is the same as the Name Screen.

To the right of Chronology. At least in Deluxe.

  Hi Paula,

No, I've just looked again and cannot see an 'index' tab anywhere! Setting
birth years fixes the DOB order problem (though may be a lie if extrapolated
from the baptismal date, which is 30 years on from birth for a few of my more
awkward ancestors!).

Perhaps you could be kind enough to tell me where this mystery index tab is!

  Many thanks

  Joan

Joan, Did you find the Index tab? To me, using that would be easier that
doing a Search, and it seems to show names in DOB order (if I've read the posts
correctly). Given your original post, I thought all your guys had birth years
already...? Best wishes for speedy resolution!

OK, the key is to give a birth year. I don't have AKA or married names
checked. Going through all my umpteen William Linnells and giving them
a birth year now sorts in date order. Many thanks for that.

    All good wishes,

    Joan
