It was used in that case to describe the biological parents. he child isn't natural, the blood parents are. (natural father/natural mother) it means the same as biological. Biological is just a more modern PC version of the same legal term of natural when talking about the parents. Even when children are born legitimate their parents are still natural, they're just no need to define it as such, as the courts (or society, in the case of slander or gossip) have no need to define the the "natural" parent of a child.
