There were distinctions which affected inheritance andsupport rights which have almost completely been done away with by statute inthe United States. As such, the different meanings of the terms have been lostin ordinary conversation. However, as adoptive parents I can say that"biological" is the preferred term over “natural” for referring tothe birthmother. I have not added my daughter’s birthmother to Legacy yet butwhen I do the status of that relationship will be “biological”.

Benzel By definition biological and natural parents are the same. Legacy does provide at times as many socio- and religious group lingo options as possible, such as Christening vs. Baptizing. Just depends on you're flavor which one you use. Marc --- On Sun, 8/28/11, M. Brenzel <[email protected]> wrote: From: M. First, can someone confirm what the list of choices are by default in Legacy? I don’t recall adding any to this list. Second, can someone explain to me what the difference is between “Natural” and “Biological”? In my mind, they are the same. Thanks!
