Dear Elizabeth, I would copy your tree + info into Microsoft Publisher and use that program to make a book. I have no stake in Microsoft and avoid their products where possible, but Publisher is actually very easy to use. You can copy and paste information in and drag it around to arrange it. If you don't have a copy, find a friend with a copy and play with it for a while to see if you are comfortable with it. It is hugely easier to use for creating documents than MS Word. I gave up on Legacy trees/charts a long time ago as they only show the direct line and I like to see a real 'tree' with all descendents - certainly at least to two or three generations around my direct line. Personally, I would export the gedcom to GenoPro; arrange it in GenoPro & then copy & paste to Publisher. Sending trees to family/friends, I print the Genopro file to a pdf & email it like that, but that won't work for making a book.
I hope this helps Joan On 21/09/2011 19:06, Mary Fowler Leek wrote: > Elizabeth, > > How many generations are you planning to use?
